The whole floor installs in one day, tools included. The fast-cure products give you minutes, not hours, to work, so this system is for experienced installers.
Morning: prep the slab, roll on the fast-cure base coat and broadcast the flake.
Afternoon: scrape, then roll on the clear topcoat.
Walk on it the next day. Park on it two days after the clear coat. Why this beats a big-box kit · How to prep your floor

The whole floor goes down in one day. Walk on it the next day. Park on it two days after the clear coat. Full Flake: B-933 fast-cure polyurea base coat, a full flake broadcast, and T-444X polyaspartic clear, with the full tool kit. Solid Color: two coats of T-444X polyaspartic, the first tinted with a pigment pack, the second clear, with the full tool kit.

There is no Starter version of this floor. A polyurea base has to be topcoated the same day.

What it covers

  • 1-Car: up to 350 sq ft
  • 2-Car: up to 700 sq ft
  • 3-Car: up to 1,050 sq ft
  • 4-Car: up to 1,400 sq ft
  • Larger floors: up to 1,750 sq ft or up to 2,100 sq ft

Coverage figures assume the recommended thickness on a properly profiled slab. Rough or porous concrete uses more. Order the next size up if your floor is at the top of a range. Floors over 2,100 sq ft: call (877) 703-7699.

Before you start, check the floor

  • Moisture. Tape a 2 ft square of plastic sheet to the slab, seal the edges, wait 24 hours. Water under the plastic or a dark spot means the slab is damp. Prime it with P-409 Moisture Vapor Primer first, or the floor will lift.
  • Cracks and spalls. Fill cracks with R-818 Epoxy Crack Filler. Rebuild spalls and holes with R-343 Concrete Quick Fix. Fill saw-cut and expansion joints with R-830 Flexible Joint Sealant.
  • Oil stains. If a stain comes back a day after degreasing, the oil is in the slab. Prime those spots with P-820 Oil Stop Primer.
  • Profile. Grind or acid-etch the concrete so it feels like 120-grit sandpaper. Coatings bond to profile, not to smooth concrete.
  • Temperature. Slab and air between 60 and 90°F for epoxy (45°F for the cold-weather products and polyurea). Humidity under 85%.

How it goes down

  • Morning: repair, grind or etch, vacuum. Roll the polyurea base (or the tinted polyaspartic), broadcast flake while wet.
  • Three to six hours later: scrape and vacuum loose flake, roll the T-444X clear.
  • Next day, 24 hours after the clear coat: walk on it.
  • Two days after the clear coat at 70°F: park on it. Cold weather adds time, up to 7 days.

Working time

  • B-933 polyurea: 15 to 25 minutes per batch, 4:1 mix. Mix small batches, and work with two people for anything over one bay.
  • T-444X: 10 to 20 minutes usable per batch, 1:1 mix. Mix only what you can roll out.

Not included

  • Primer: not needed on ground or etched concrete that passed the moisture test.
  • Crack filler and spall repair: R-818 and R-343 if your inspection finds them.
