How Much Does It Cost to Epoxy a Floor?
The cost depends on three things: the size of the floor, the finish you choose, and whether you do it yourself or hire an installer.
DIY material cost
Our systems are sized by floor area, and each size covers up to a stated square footage. At current prices, a solid color epoxy floor runs roughly $0.75 to $1.70 per square foot in materials, and a full flake floor roughly $2.20 to $2.60. Some examples for a two-car garage (up to 700 sq ft):
- Garage Starter System, solid color: about $540
- Garage Pro System, solid color with topcoat and tools: about $1,040
- Garage Pro System, full flake: about $1,695
Prices change. The system pages always show the current price for your size and finish.
Coverage depends on the slab
Smooth, dense concrete takes less material than porous or pitted concrete. If your slab is rough or very absorbent, plan for a primer and possibly extra base coat. Repairs like cracks and spalls are separate. See our guide on patching concrete.
Hiring an installer
Professional installation adds labor, surface grinding equipment and usually a warranty from the installer. Quotes vary widely by region and floor condition. We can connect you with a certified installer. Get in touch.
